Podcast interview

There's a live podcast about this house! Kyle has recently started a podcast dedicated to tiny houses  over at LetsBuildATinyHouse.com and I did the interview a few weeks ago. Now it's live. Go check our episode out over at his site:

  1. I listened to your interview. Good job. And here's something I didn't know. You're from Lancaster, Pennsylvania? Same here.

    1. I am. I lived on Sun Hill Road with in sight of the Manheim Auto Auction as a child. Where were you from? Or do you still live there?

    2. Hi Ariel! I just stumbled on your blog from Tumbleweed's website and learned you're from Lancaster! Me too!! I grew up in Neffsville not far from Manheim. Talk about a small world! Well I've been dreaming of doing the very thing you are (I'm outdoorsy like you) and here you are doing it!! I'm a skier so I too enjoy the cold and backcountry. I was curious as to where you keep your house. Did you buy a spot of land? I apologize if you already provided this information. I read through many of your posts. I especially enjoyed your post about internet. I'm a website developer so this is very important to me, when I want to be connected. Keep up the awesome posts & photography! You're a great writer and very informative. :)

    3. It certainly seems to be a small world! Are you actively pursuing something like this or just dreaming? I'm always curious about who is interested and what they are interested in. ;)

I did not buy land. I park on a friend's ranch and trade meals and some labor for the opportunity to park there. It seems to be working well for both of us right now.

      Thanks for the encouragement!

  2. I know where the auction is. I'm on the other side of Lancaster. Near Shady Maple Farm Market and Smorg. That's probably the biggest landmark if you're familiar with it. It's a really small word with internet. :)

  3. Of course I know Shady Maple Smorg! I haven't eaten there in years, but I loved it last time I was there. Yeah it is.
