Tiny House Cooking Series

Ok folks. Here's the start to a new tiny house related project I am working on. Tiny House Cooking videos. Since I've had a lot of requests for what I cook, how I do it, and what's possible in a tiny house, I will attempt to answer all those things over time.

Check out the introduction first.

And then here is the first actual cooking video I have compleated.

I hope to be able to add new videos to the cooking series on a regular basis as time allows.

And here's a brief sampling of a few of the many meals that have already happened in Fy Nyth's kitchen. Enjoy!

  1. Great to see you doing the cooking series! I've never seen a tripod hiding anywhere in any of your "tiny house storage" blog entries, so I'm assuming you must use the table with a box or something on top of it to hold your camera. If you don't use your table, or can find something else to hold your camera (maybe one of those mini tripods that have articulated legs on one of your chairs?) I'd love to see if your table would fit with one wing up in the space between your endmost bit of counter and the stairs. That would give you a great spot to stand facing the camera, and give us a nice view of your ingredients and methods as you cook. Of course, don't mean to make your life more complicated than necessary, so totally understand if my wish goes unfulfilled :p

    1. Thanks! I do use things like boxes and tables sometimes. But I do have a tripod as well, it just usually lives in the van in case I see some interesting wildlife. Ahh yes, filming is a challenge I'm still working on. We'll see what works best as I keep going. ;)

  3. Wonderful work, Ariel! I will enjoy watching all of your series. I've also been cooking for years, and can always learn more. You will probably get lots of suggestions on your first cooking video; mine would be that it would be nice to end with a shot of a bowl of the chile all served up on the table. I'd have loved to see this close up after. Hope you have a lovely spring. Natalia in Canada

    1. Thank you! I'll try to remember to get shots of the finished food served up.
