Spring Tour Outside of Fy Nyth

Here's another video tour of my house. This time of the outside and surrounding area as it looks this spring. In a few weeks are the flowers and veggies should be much larger and I'm planting my orchard today, so it suppose it won't be long before I do another update. I love this little spot where I get to live!

  1. Hey Ariel....as ever, inspiring....FYI...I've heard that for apple trees, you need at least 2 different types, planted somewhat near each other, in order for them to bear fruit....

    1. Thank you. Yes, apples do need a cross pollinator. I only have one tree right now, but I plan to order another variety soon. Our semi local nursery only had one that would be likely to survive in this climate, so I'll have to order some online. I'm hoping to add a few other fruits as well.

  2. Thank you for your blog--learning a lot as I go through it. I'm going tiny in the near future and love what you have shared about your experience, especially about solar and things you would change. Love your garden as well, and I'm very impressed with all the rock you guys moved!

    1. Thank you! It's all growing. So are the weeds. :) And I'm working on putting up a fence to keep some of the bigger critters out since they've been trying to nibble on a bunch of stuff.

  4. This looks great! So just out of curiosity and this might be in one of your older posts, but I myself am trying to get back to nature a bit and I see you know a lot about gardening, and composting. how did you learn it all?
    Thanks!

    1. Mostly I learned all of those things as a kid. I am very thankful for many things my parents taught me. I was the oldest of 7 children and we raised most of our own food so I learned to garden, cook, and do anything related to those at a pretty young age.

  5. I'm still loving the color of the tiny house! Blends beautifully with the surroundings regardless if it's winter or spring!

Garden looks great! Actually, everything is looking like a bit of heaven! Enjoy!
