Finishing up the garden harvest and preparing for more snow in the next few days. My first garlic crop! (Minus some we already ate.) Now I'll be able to plant in the fall this year and should have a much better crop next summer. I couldn't do that last year since my garden only came into existence this past spring.
Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I'm curious did you leave any carrots and parsnips to "Winter Over"? My Dad used to do this and they were so sweet in the spring and a fun treat too! We lived in Maine so I expect the winters are similar.
ReplyDeleteI did not this year. Just because I had a whole bunch of manure, leaves, etc that I wanted to till in to enrich the soil and lighten up some of the clay that is in there. But in the future I plan to do just that.
