Two years ago today, my house arrived. She has changed a lot both inside and out in those two years and I have some as well.
It's been a good two years. Years with plenty of frustrations like moisture problems from propane heat and things to learn about living off grid in general. But good years. The opportunity to have space, peace, and quite to deal with some tough things in my life and to pursue some things other than just working. The opportunity to enjoy the beautiful natural world I am surrounded by.
Buying a tiny house is still something I consider one of the best decisions I've ever made for multiple reasons. Maybe I'll try to do a video with more on that later today. At the moment, I am curled up on the couch sipping another mug of hot fresh ginger tea and trying to recover from the nasty sore throat I woke up with. Watching the wet snowflakes raining down outside and feeling ready for it to turn into a real winter with nice cold temps to freeze up the mud and provide nice dry fluffy snow.
Happy anniversary to me and my cozy little nest!
Congrats on two years!

ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to hear that others enjoy this because it does get time consuming! Thank you.
Deletei have learned much from your blog that has informed me for our own small home life that is just beginning in Montana. I have loved your animal experiences from the surprising encounter with the young bull moose to the audio of wolves. You are wished many happy years in your beautiful home, growing food, cooking and adding to the beauty around and within you.
ReplyDeleteWhere in MT are you? I'd love to see a photo of your place!

DeleteHappy Anniversary to you and Fy Nyth! Did the Hydraulic Ram make it into operation?
ReplyDeleteCheers.
It did! And ran all summer and into the fall until I pulled in out so it wouldn't freeze. It should be back in operation next spring and I plan to do a full post on that then.
DeleteGreat, I'll look forward to your update! I met a young woman building her tiny home out of a shipping container here in Colorado, told her to check out Fy Nyth too.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Ariel, have a wonderful winter.
